| Comments: |
Conditions were very tough, a loose 6-10" down low (wore no traction). At treeline snow depth increased significantly (especially in drifts). Tried wearing microspikes at treeline, but instead decided to rock-hop (where possible). After doing a few knee-hip deep drifts, changed into snowshoes but they weren't very useful because the slow lacks density.
After dealing with the snow getting to Gulfside we decided Jefferson is out of the question, so we popped out on Clay instead and were treated to awesome views above the clouds.
Overall your normal challenging November conditions |
