Parking/Access Road Notes: No problem parking at Highland Center. Depot lot not plowed Unrelated note. Zealand Road is now gated.

Comments: Went out to knock off a calender day. (sigh) Avalon Trail packed from beginning so barebooted till junction.Decided to don snowshoes on A-Z. Not really needed unless you want to beat them up. Only around 8" of powder when not packed down. Wore them to summit. Took them off for the descent. Quicker and safer. Need more snow. Nice day in the woods with occasional snow flurries.
