Comments
Comments: Took my Dad on his first hike up Mt. Major (my third). Trails were generally crusty, with some blue-ish ice on the last 0.4 mile to the top. Otherwise, they were solid and well-packed, and we probably could have gotten by without spikes, but they made the walking easier.

Before hitting the top, we had a very pleasant 0.4 mile walk once on the Belknap Range Trail, and the summit view was excellent as always, and even more so due to the cloudless sky and the cold temperatures.

Gotta come back in the dead of winter!
