Comments
Comments: The flat part before the ascent was sticky snow and postholed and the middle ascent was a foot of wet sticky snow also postholed. Spikes were no use, they just balled up, might as well bareboot. After we got past the well trod sections we donned snowshoes and had trouble finding the trail. We took what seemed to be a trail and probably was, but when the summit came into sight, the trail just stopped and we could not make our way through the iced up underbrush. So we gave up, having no idea if we were on the real trail or something else. Back at the last visible blaze we looked all around for signs of a better trail, but could not find one. Nice sunny view at the viewpoint area. Very tiring descent barebooting through all the postholes.
