Comments
Comments: Some running water on the Doublehead Ski Trail up to the junction of the Old Path and another 1/4 mile past Old Path. Old Path had some running water also at the beginning but mostly the trail was frozen granular snow and ice, however not a problem with my micro- spikes. I wore them the whole hike and worth their salt especially on the way down. Best views of the day were from South Doublehead but Mt. Washington was in the clouds all day with 90 mph winds and -17 degree temperatures early in the day. Met 3 other hikers and a back country skier in my travels today. Nice day for a hike in the Whites...
