 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The road leading to the trailhead was essentially bare. Just a few icy spots. There is a parking lot at the trailhead (0.6 mile from NH 116) and another parking area at 0.4 mile from NH 116 which requires a 0.2 mile roadwalk to trailhead. On the day of the hike, the entrance to both trailheads was blocked by a snow bank resulting from plowing of the road. It was nearly 12 inches high and frozen solid from recent rain. With a high clearance vehicle, you could access either lot where the snow depth was minimal and firm at both locations. |

 | Comments: |
Just used Microspikes. No snowshoes needed today. From the trailhead to the point where the power line crosses Kinsman Ridge, the trail's treadway was a mix of firm snow, bare ground, ice. |
