| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking is a little tight at the lot down the street due to snow piles. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Slush |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All of the water crossings that we encountered were covered by ice, however, some of the ice had been broken and you could see running water. Water levels were VERY low and easily crossable by one small leap. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail was in great condition. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
We took our pup for his birthday/first hike and he had a blast! We encountered lots of other dogs on the trail. Everyone seemed to be having a good time! |
|
| Bugs: |
Too cold for them! |

| Comments: |
Our group went up with just Yak Trax and microspikes. Our yak trax provided enough traction for everything we encountered. We started off bare boots, but there was a lot of ice on the way over to the trail head, so we added the traction. Our hiking partner had microspikes on and he had no issues either. There were also some kids sledding down the trail which was ridiculously dangerous: the trail is so narrow!!! |
