Comments
Comments: afternoon hike; approx. 10 people on trail (all descending while I was ascending); first 0.5miles quite a bit of exposed ice, but okay with light traction (for both ascend and descend) as grade is very low and some areas are flat, so not slippery at all; higher up, ice covered with snow; several hikers used every opportunity to sled :)

Between Starr King and Waumbek trail is in awesome shape with packed down snow and no ice--I ran most of the trail both ways with light snow falling from the sky and wind blowing the powdery snow all over the trail, erasing footsteps within minutes (I wore balaclava and face mask; for about 10minutes I also added goggles while the wind was blowing straight into my face) and the orange glow in the sky ever present; descended during sunset--beautiful, peaceful hike with excellent views, esp. from the vista point just past the summit
