Comments
Comments: Frigid morning but the sun helped make it feel warmer. Trails down low are in great shape. Small drifts started shortly after the junction with the Osgood Tr. Several stretches of deeper drifts of about 6 inches at higher elevations. The wind kicked in at the hut as expected. Some stronger gusts of maybe 35-50 mph on top. Madison is very icy as noted in previous trip reports but Hillsounds & careful footing worked well.
