We were the first into the parking lot today at about 7:45AM. We were over both peaks and started down before we met anyone else on the trail. By the time we arrived back at the car, BOTH parking lots were filled and cars were lined up and down the road. |

Trail was beautiful. Ledges were wet today and care was needed, especially on the downhill. Colors looked to be perfect, but the big black cloud hanging over Waterville Valley blocked out the sun for all of our time on the ledges. It looked like the throngs of people headed up later would have sunnier weather. |
