Comments
Comments: No sign that anyone has been up the Livermore Trail in sometime. About elevation 2200 I cut right and headed straight up through mostly open mixed woods until nearing the false peak--went south a bit to go over it and then stayed on the south side of the ridge all the way to the canister. I did push through a few tight spots but were short lived and zigged-zagged thruogh open woods. Enjoyed views north through the trees on the way up and down and from the ridge I could see Loon's North Peak ski trails. Snowshoes broke through ice crust and into snow about four inches down. On the windswept ridge the ice crust was thicker but still broke through--not as easy to pull the snowshoe up through if the nose caught on the crust. Nice day to be out in the woods.
