There are blowdowns on both trails, easily circumvented. We took out many smaller ones. Of the larger ones encountered, the largest is on the lower section of the Drakes Brook Tr., an easy walk around, that will require a cross-cut or chain saw. |

Did the loop, taking the Sandwich up and Drakes down. Our group of eight was one of four on the trails. One of them headed out before we got there just before 8:00, did a great job of breaking out the trails. Thanks. Another was from the Harvard Outing Club. Snowshoes car to car. Trails solidly packed out by the end of the day. The current storm will, no doubt, change that. Lots of moose tracks above Jennings Peak spur and trees stripped of bark. Thanks to Bob H for organizing this, a great snowshoe hike. |
