Conditions were better than the forecast. about 5 above with only a little breeze. Trail was choppy going up the Agonies with drifts and post holes but not a problem. After breaking out of the scrub above the hut, trail was perfect. Some exposed rocks going across the ridge and spikes would have been sufficient on the ridge....but we did not switch. Snowshoes necessary on Falling Waters as the upper section was not well packed. But is now. We carried crampons just because.....Perfect BlueBird day. Mansfield and Camel's Hump clear. Great to get out with Ed and Guy |
