| Water Crossing Notes: |
Most of the water crossings were well-bridged. A couple on the Cedar Brook Tr required rock-hopping or ski removal. Near the Wilderness boundary we crossed the Pemi River from the Pemi East Side Tr to the Lincoln Woods Tr on snow bridges. We also skied just a short bit of the Lincoln Brook to get to the bridge on the Lincoln Woods Trail (the one about 3 miles from Lincoln Woods). Snow was high enough and solid enough to avoid most of the swampy section on the Cedar Brook Trail. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
On the Pemi East Side Trail just west of its junction with the Cedar Brook Trail, there is a huge blowdown near the bottom of the downhill section - we were careful to try to avoid that as we skied down. Cedar Brook Trail is quite brushy, especially near the height-of-land. |

| Comments: |
Excellent ski trip we (volunteer) co-lead with the NH AMC Ski group. Traverse from Hancock Notch out Lincoln Woods. Always wanted to ski it and the snow was excellent! Good skiing everywhere! We put the skins on on the Cedar Brook Trail just west of the junction with the Hancock Loop Trail. Took the skins off after we hit the height-of-land and glided many sections really nicely. A few tricky spots where there were drainages and dropoffs, but, really, a fun time. |
