Comments
Comments: You need snowshoes. The first .8 of a mile is ok without them but after that it's posthole city, some must be three feet deep. Took UNH trail clockwise, the trail never seemed to end. There is a nice pine/spruce section prior to. he ledges with a view of Mt. Chocura and of course Mt. Passaconaway looking down at you. Leaving the ledges, be aware of the yellow trail markers, they're hard to see probably painted on the rocks buried under the snow.
The trail conditions weren't great asmit was a warm day and the snow was very soft. Depite some nice views, I really didn't enjoy the hike. Perhaps it was the trail conditions, they really slowed me down. Snowshoes are a must in these conditions.
