Comments
Comments: I was out to revisit the blue ridge peaks and do a little redlining. The AT was fairly well packed with soft spots and drifted over sections. I walked the Dilly trail to the cliff outlook. I also learned that the recognized high point for Kinsman Notch Peak is a bump north of what I had observed last fall. In other words, after passing the Dilly junction, it is the second bump. I made the short bushwhack to the high point on Blue Ridge North, and then turned around. In the downhill direction I had several postholing incidents even with MSRs w/tails. There are a few good outlooks along this route, one provides great views of Wolf/Wolf Cub, Loon, and Franconia Ridge. Great after-work hike.
