Comments
Comments: Set off to do a later hike for sunset. Trail starts off with no trace of snow and was dry. As you start to incline lots of wet slippery rocks and roots. Then starts patches of monorail that are stable. Eventually, snow pack all around and most of the way up after about half way point. Ice was incredibly wet on top and very slippery, I took a nasty fall and slid pretty far even with microspikes on. Soft snow high up, with lots and lots of running water underneath. You shouldn't pothole if you stay on the packed trail, but if you do there is a good chance you will end up in a puddle of running water. Couple more weeks and most of the snow pack up there will be gone. Blog will be posted tomorrow.
