| Comments: |
Old Bridle Path is dry trail the first mile or so from the trailhead. Gradually, as the trail ascends, the monorail appears with some mud and running water. The rail continues, except for a few long bare sections of rock, to the ridge, where it comes and goes, giving way to bare dirt and rock. The monorail appears again on the Falling Waters Trail, where it continues until about the final mile.
Overall, the conditions were very good, with very little postholing or mud. Microspikes are necessary. Several people who didn't wear them were having a very difficult time in the steep sections.
The Greenleaf Hut is now open.
