Comments
Comments: Steep and crumbly trail. Lots of erosion. The trail and bright yellow blazes end abruptly at what may or may not be the final cliff (clear view of Highland Center and views toward Willey Range)...there are a couple of trail-like, narrow paths continuing upward from this point...I followed each of them only to end up in dense pines and/or dangerously eroded steep slopes. Max and I climbed up a dirt slide to a little flat area of less dense trees, but I could not find more yellow blazes or a trail up there. I will therefore consider this path redlined, unless someone lets me know how I missed the rest of the trail and exactly where said trail can be found.

It was nice to be out with Max again. He's a three-season hiker, as he refuses to hike in snow. This was his first hike in about six months. He was thrilled to be out in the (snow-free) woods again.
