This is a traction free peak. The few icy spots above the ledges are easily avoided. Lots of dry leaves down low were slippery if not careful.
I've always wanted to get to Bartlett Mt so today on the way down from Kearsarge I took the right just above the last ledge and found the trail which is unmaintained but fairly obvious (and blazed) most of the way, though there were some dead ends. Just plow thru. Don't count on blazes and know where you are. Great views on the ledges around the peak even with the haze. |
