| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Laughing Lion is in great shape. Royce trail between the connector and junction with Basin Rim is saturated and has pools of standing water (expected with the recent rain). Bog bridges in great shape, thanks. Immediately beginning on Basin Rim there is evidence of a very recent strong storm. Snapped trees all the way up to West Royce. There was just the two of us, and the weather up there was a mix of sleet and snow with gusty winds, but we moved whatever we could out of the way. There is still a lot that will need to be sawed/axed. It was unreal. We bushwhacked around some clusters that we couldn't move or get through. East Royce trail has a few blowdowns but easy to go under or around. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Didn't see any, plenty of water for them on these trails. Probably could negotiate the blow down field better than a human! |

| Bugs: |
Not today! Temps were in the low 40s :) |

See trail maintenance notes above. Basin Rim Trail, wow. Just wow.
