Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All rock-hoppable
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: No blowdowns. Nearly all of the puncheons on the Kinsman Ridge Trail are in various states of decay and many need to be replaced sooner rather than later. Watch out for metal spikes sticking out of the rotten puncheons.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Water not a problem after recent rains. No difficult scrambles. The dogs had a wonderful time in all the mud. Some mud is deep enough to be troublesome for small dogs.
Bugs
Bugs: None today.

Comments
Comments: The 3,500-foot summit of Mt. Wolfe is about two-tenths of a mile south of the outlook path on the KRT and the trail does not go over the actual summit: a short bushwhack gets one to the peak, where there's a mason jar containing the summit log. In a few places, the mud on the KRT is wall to wall, and herd paths have formed to get around the bogs. Also note: the KRT from the junction with the Reel Brook all the way to its end in Kinsman Notch on Route 112 belongs in the PUD Hall of Fame. Reel Brook Trail is in great shape, though.
