West side - no cars when i was dropped off. East side almost full when i left it (probably people camping at the 3 ponds shelter for the holiday weekend). |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
mostly dry or near dry on the west side. one crossing of sucker brook on the east side was rock hoppable |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The corridor on the west side of the Mt Carr trail was a bit overgrown near the start. There were many blowdowns especially the last 1/2 mile which made it difficult to follow the trail. Do not do this side if you are a novice hiker. There are few (any??) trail blazes on the west side. The east side is in much better shape. There were 12 blowdowns which were all step over except one which has developed a herd path around it. it is very well blazed but some blazes are yellow and some are blue! |
