Amazingly very few. There was a bit of a breeze. As I was coming down from the hut after dark, I had a lot of white moths attracted to my headlamp follow me. That was fun |

I was supposed to do something Friday night but given the clear forecast, a sunset from Franconia Ridge seemed like far more fun. Got to Little Haystack apx 8pm and the sunset was terrific. Had planned to bivvy on the ridge and catch the sunrise also but around 10 pm thick unyielding fog rolled in and I would have been soaked. So just walked out. Only one patch of ice near summit of Little Haystack. The Agonies (Old Bridle Path) are very wet. Had to use caution descending by headlamp. Great Time!!! |
