Comments
Comments: Started at Hancock Notch, ended at Lincoln Woods. Went up to S, then N Hancock, then 2 hours to bushwhack to NW Hancock. 2 hours to bushwhack back down to Cedar Brook Tr. Pretty wet bushwhack due to earlier showers; we got pretty soaked. We were a little to the right on the first b/w, and ended up in some pretty big boulders. All in all, this was a medium-difficulty b/w, taking longer than we thought it would (esp since we didn't use GPS's). The baby firs are starting to grow mid-chest high in many patches, obscuring the blowdowns. Saw a large hen of some kind and 4 cute baby chicks up close- they didn't seem upset at all. Not too many views! Great day to be out.
