Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All water crossings easily rock hop-able
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Eagle Link had a half dozen blowdowns with one tough twisted birch that weren't so easy to get around. Bog bridges are losing the battle of time and are rotting away. Actually a pretty good trail for a trail stuck in the silly designated wilderness area. Don't tell anyone but they forgot to remove the yellow blazes.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Why not!
Bugs
Bugs: only a few but they were mean black flies--Becca got eaten down low near the end low end of the Eagle Link and I had the bad luck of having them fly into my left eye--ouchy.

Comments
Comments: First business was to visit Chandler Gorge and then we backtracked to the Bicknell Ridge--lovely trail with lots of big vistas and good footing. Becca took a short nap in the sun while I ran down and back up the Cascade Link. We headed over to North Baldface and on the way we met a father-son duo coming towards us and they told us they had just seen a deer. Great views from North Baldface, it was a clear day. Just a handful of others on top. We retraced our way back down and over to Eagle Crag. Then we went back to the Eagle Link/Baldface Circle Trail intersection. We then went down and back on the Eagle Link, a nice gentle trail through interesting forest all the way to the Wild River Trail (much of it reminded me of the Fire Warden's Trail on Hale, pretty birches). We returned via the nasty steep Baldface Circle Trail. On way home we went wading in the Wild River up near the Roost Trailhead and saw frogs and polly wogs in the rock pools along the river. Today was a big beautiful day.
