Comments
Comments: This is a nice loop. Lots of mud, mostly on Bog Brook, but it can be skirted or hopped across on rocks and branches. The Rainbow trail is little used but not difficult to follow. The birch glade is quite extensive and beautiful. The trail enters a flat, wide open 360 degree viewing area not far below the summit of Carter Dome that I had not heard about. On the Wild River trail I got some good pictures of a Pine Marten scampering around in the trees. It was curious and kept peering down at me. very Cool.
