Comments: Wapack Trail from Old Mtn Rd

My favorite trail run, 1.5m, 960' up to Nth Pack summit. Have been up this mtn 200+ times over the last 30 years. Tuff to get on it without a crowd, but only saw 6 people today. Was glad to see that most of the trees bounced back very well from the severe ice storm that had happened when I last visited in Dec. Was upset about the new trail signs at the summit, on iron posts, bolted into the rock, practically in the middle of the trail. They look absolutely terrible and are upsetting. Wish the Friends of the Wapack Trail could have done a better job fitting them into the environment up there. Tons of blueberries in about 4 weeks but they're going to be small this year because of lack of rain.
