Parking/Access Road Notes: Small lot on 302. Quite a few families from Crawford Notch heading out to Nancy Falls.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Most water crossings had ample rocks. A couple of them (if I recall, I think the Anderson Brook crossings) required removing shoes for a knee-deep ford. But it was very refreshing to do so.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Two high fives for whomever maintains the Nancy Pond Trail. Job well done! This is one of the most beautiful trails in the white mountains. The Desolation trail is a relentlessly steep, rough, and rugged climb, but a fun trail nonetheless.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw one happy dog.
Bugs
Bugs: I thought black fly season was over, but it seems like they're just getting started. Wore sleeves, pants, and a bug net all weekend. They were out in full force.

Comments
Comments: I definitely recommend visiting Norcross Pond. The entire Nancy Pond trail is quite amazing, and makes for a very enjoyable hike.
