Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All water crossings were hoppable, though those with shorter legs may have a little difficultly on the 2 lowest ones
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The USFS is building new bog bridges between Nancy and Norcross Ponds so much of the mud is being neutralized. They're working from Nancy west so there is still a decent amount of mud before you get to Norcross. They've also cut new trail higher up the slope to bypass the flooded sections of trail along the shore of Norcross Pond
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Black flies a little troublesome at the ponds but only when we stopped for lunch. The breeze at the outlet of Norcross Pond was a great deterent

Comments
Comments: Herd path up Nancy was in good shape with only a couple of nuisance blowdowns. At the top of the slide, the trail takes a hard right, marked by a downed log which almost looks like cribbing. We missed this and continued up the head of the slide instead. A lone hike we met had done the same thing but on hearing our voices descending, called over and we set him straight
