Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All could be stepped over.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in good shape but a little saw work is needed, especially in the first mile for small (under 5" diameter) blow downs. Most could be stepped over or ducked under but unless addressed hikers may develop new paths around. After the trail joins the old Notch trail, just beyond the slabs paint is needed to refresh the blazes as they are faded from here on to the summit of North Percy.

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found two empty beer bottles neatly stacked near the trail which I picked up and hauled out. See comments section.

Comments
Comments: It continues to amaze me why people can carry a full bottle (of whatever) in and not have the energy to carry out the empty. Adjectives that quickly come to mind: Stupid, Lazy, Don't care, about destroying nature's beauty. And if it's reason number three, what are they doing in the woods in the first place?

Oh yeah, the old style canister (mason jar) on South Percy is jammed with little notes. The register is really falling apart and needs a new book and the old one removed to the archives.
