No blowdowns prior to this evening's powerful thunderstorm (which took down trees in the Lakes Region). |

Not a bad idea to have a leash handy, as the first portion of the trail goes around an active horse farm. |

One deer fly near the barn, otherwise minimal. |

| Comments: |
Trail was mostly dry this afternoon prior to the thunderstorms. Upper quarter of a mile is quite grassy at the moment.
Though there are some ripe blueberries up on the ledges, the crop is subpar as compared to previous years (much better berries in places in the Belknaps).
Ran into one grouse (near the summit) and one bear (below the first viewpoint). |
