Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at the sign on Rt. 3 just before the customs station at the border.

Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant

Water Crossing Notes: None.

Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail in good shape, no blowdowns. A bit brushy on the border swath, but easy to follow. Mud was mostly due to the rain.

Bugs: None in the rain and drizzle.

Comments
Comments: The mysterious north country stayed mysterious in the rain and mist, as we hiked to the source of the Connecticut River. It was wet, but lent an interesting feel to the area. Not much going on at the border, one truck went through while we were there.
