Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All unbridged crossings running low, easy hops.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple of step-overs, a duck-under, and a step-over/duck-under combo on Mead, some sections of mud. Guinea Pond detour "temporary reroute" is easy to follow, ignore the faint path on the right (when traveling out to the trailhead) in the powerline clearing, and follow the more worn track across to the woods on the other side. Flagging leads the way.

Bugs: A couple of annoying flies on the summit of Israel, otherwise not terrible.

Comments
Comments: Finally got around to doing this loop suggested in the WMG, and was rewarded with some early-ish morning solitude, along with great views. Mead wasn't as boring as I was lead to believe, travelling through nice woods, with a couple of obstacles thrown in for good measure. Saw a bunch of hikers on Guinea Pond, though all were headed to Israel. Walking Sandwich Notch Road was the healthy option for my car, though the flow at Beede Falls was disappointing... it's still a nice area. Back to the car before noon! Only one trail remains in the Sandwich Range!
