Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: trails in good shape. we met a wonderful hero on the section of Carter-Moriah between Moriah and North Carter. He was fixing some more of the destruction that was left last Winter. Much easier to navigate this section without feet of snow and blowdowns!
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Kali had a blast, she was so excited to be reunited with Jeff and Karine. We had plenty of water, food, kisses and watermelon for her. She learned to eat off the rind on Wildcat A.

Comments
Comments: Great day for a big traverse! This ended a round for Jeff and saved me from leaving Moriah last for my next round. Lots of peaks for everyone today. Started out walking up humid Moriah into a could, it started to part for North Carter but never really did until South, heading to Dome. Lots of ups and downs. Not much water for dogs on this route, but the pond near the hut was good for a dip and re-hydrate. There was a blue heron standing on the edge of the water as well to greet us. Great strong pushes up the Dome and Wildcat A, led by Karine. Felt great today! North Carter wasn't as brutal as remembered, we took it with stride and enjoyed the day. A nice easy jaunt down the ski trails, skiing all the way. There are lots of small sections of exposed bedrock with sand and gravel on them that made walking fun, everyone took turns wiping out! Kali took to the grass for rolling. 7 hours 37 minutes according to Strava (without stopped time) 7336' of elevation gained 18.8 miles. Sweet!
