Dog-Related Notes: Kali had fun, this hike had lost of water along the way to get in. She drank from my water on Desolation. Hot day for a dog!
Bugs
Bugs: kind of annoying along the flat section of Nancy Pond Trail
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: We happened to find a red OR water bottle holder in the woods. Thinking we must be the only-est people in the world to be this darn far off of the herd path just to run into someone's lost water bottle along the way. Small world! If you can tell me about your epic hike, I will get this back to you!

Comments: Signal Ridge Trail, Carrigain Notch Trail, Desolation Trail, Nancy Pond Trail, herd path, epic bushwhack

Denise and I decided to grab some redlines. Yesterday's weather didn't appear awesome so we switched days to the hotter, less cloudy Sunday. Glad we did. Pretty straightforward hike with gorgeous views, until we got to Norcross Pond and the question was; want to go to Nancy? Another peak? The last NEHH I need in NH? You betcha! On the open slabby scree we (I) made the decision to go left and the herd path must have gone right. We bushwhacked through some pretty thick awful annoying stuff. The skin will heal the scratches will go away, but the memories created this day will last a lifetime! Thank you Denise for an epic adventure! We swam in Nancy Cascades on the way out and it was wonderful! I will be picking pine needles out of my pack for the rest of its life!
