Dog-Related Notes: Parked at the three boulders on Haystack Road. Only car there; there was room for 1-2 more.

Bugs: Some at the summit but a nice breeze kept most of them away.

Comments
Comments: Went up through the pencil forest in the clear cut and and a bit of spruce on the way up. Came down to the south through open forest and skirted the clear cut. Much better.

While having lunch on the summit I heard some crashing in the bushes. Then Rick and Brian popped out, having come over Haystack.

Saw one large, fresh (but not scary-fresh) bear scat, but no bears.
