The Sandwich Mountain Trail is a constant UP from the crossing of Drakes Brook to the Sandwich Range Wilderness Sign. After that it is much more enjoyable hike. :) The side trip up to Jennings Peak is well worth it. Sandwich Dome and Jennings Peak are both on 52WAV.
From Jennings to Sandwich Dome is an enjoyable hike compared to the beginning of the hike. After checking out the views, we headed back down using the Drakes Brook Trail. Coming up this trail would probably not be as Steep as the Sandwich Mountain Trail, but it is longer. Combining the two does make a nice loop though.
