	Parking/Access Road Notes:	Lot overflowing today with cars lining the road

	Surface Conditions:	Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

	Recommended Equipment:

	Water Crossing Notes:	All crossings on slippery brook easy rock hops

	Trail Maintenance Notes:	One easy stepover on Slippery Brook just below the col and junction with Eastman mountain trail; Eastman mountain trail easy to follow but could use a few more blazes to make it easier to follow in winter

	Dog-Related Notes:	An easy canine hike though last water is water crossing on slippery brook about 1.8 miles below summit.

	Bugs:	A few flies but not bothersome

	Comments:	A great hike to a peak less visited. 20+ cars at parking lot but everyone seemed to be heading to emerald pool or the baldfaces. Only people I saw all day were a few on baldface circle trail and one couple on the Eastman summit. Trail is great shape - One of the easiest trails to get up and down in the whites with easy to moderate grades to get up the 2500 feet in elevation gain; 8.6 miles round trip. Nice views of the Royces and Evens Notch, South Baldface and out over NH with the Carters the Doubleheads and out to Chocorua - definitely worth a visit for those exploring the area.
