This hike is a gem. Lots of water in Nancy Cascades--great swimming. Great views of the Bonds at the outlet of Norcross Pond. Good views from the summit. Lots of trail maintenance being done around the ponds. Beavers have raised the height of the water 2-3 feet so sections of the trail now underwater have been moved. Also many new bog bridges installed this year. The mud we came prepared for was avoided. Thanks to the trail maintainers for an excellent job. Could have stayed all afternoon looking at the unique views from the outlet of Norcross Pond. Many colorful mushrooms popping out in the forests. |
