The Centennial Trail has a few 'opposites': descending on ascent and vice-versa. This is a bit maddening if doing an out-n-back. Also there are some areas where the leaves are coming down. This morning they were a little slick due to last night's showers but they are also doing a good job hiding potential dangers on the trail.
I had the entire trail to summit and ledges beyond to myself, though I passed a few NOBOs and other backpackers going down the Centennail Trail . In the AM it was cloudy and cool but (naturally) on departure the clouds started to break. |
