Comments: Sandwich Notch Road is a fun little road...once you find it! Take Dinsmore Pond Rd off of Rte 113 (there is a little red school house type building that has a rustic sign on it that says "Chicks Corner at the junction of Dinsmore Pond Rd & 113) follow it to the end and take a left at the T junction and stay left at the Y to get to the trail head.

A great day to be out and it was a nice recovery hike after the 14 miles I did on the Montalban Ridge the day before. I've gone up Israel via the Wentworth trail many years ago and I imagine that side must see more foot traffic that the GP tr and Mead, so if you're looking for solitude, i highly recommend this route.

i love the Sandwich Wilderness area and with the discovery of the Beebe River Rd, I am looking forward to returning with my bike.
