| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
There is a tight cluster of three spruce blow downs in the 12 to 14 inch diameter blocking the trail with a rough walk around above it less than 15 minutes from the TH. A chain saw is best as a two-man crosscut saw would be a real work out cutting all three trees twice to accommodate the width of the treadway. Another large duck under is up in the middle of the switch backs. The other blow downs are easy step overs. Some drainage/rock work would solve the few muddy/wet areas. |

| Comments: |
Great views from the summit. Pleasantly cool temps for this hike and had the trail to ourselves. Surprising number of switch backs, counted 24 on the way down before the trail straightened out. |
