Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: East side of Carr Mountain Tr. needs some work with blowdowns. None impassible but more significant than a small saw could handle. Color of blazes alternated between Blue and Yellow on the east side of the peak. Don't know why.

Comments
Comments: After spotting a car at the Three Ponds Trailhead off Stinson Lake Rd we proceeded to Warren and Clifford Brook Rd for the start. Clifford Brook Rd is not obvious to find. Take the Fish Hatchery Rd and head east across a small bridge then nearly immediate left onto Clifford Brook Rd, a narrow dirt road. TH sign is .8 miles. Trail then follows the road for another .4 passing a camp on left and entering a field into the woods. Do not park in the turnaround in front of the camp. Once on the trail propper it was easily followed. Took a very worthwhile side trip to Waternomee Falls, very interesting rock formations creating these picturesque falls, reminds me of a miniature Hanging Cliff. The views from the summit are beginning to be blocked out by growth, we had to stand on the old tower steps to see above the trees. On the descent found that crossing the Sucker Brook was somewhat of a challenge for short-legged people because of the span between rocks (especially with some beginning have ice on the surfaces). Did manage to cross on a large blowdown above the swirling water below. Still curious about the alternating Blue and Yellow blazes but the trail was so well defined it was not an issue on which way to go.
