Comments
Comments: Algonquin Trail was in good shape. Bushwhacked from the first col to Black Mountain (2,732) to the excellent Lakes Region view ledge. Continued up Algonquin Trail to Sandwich Dome, then headed down to Jennings Peak - dry trail. Smarts Brook Trail became muddy near the large boulders and upper logging cuts, though generally doable with dry boots. Found navigating the lower portion a bit confusing (it was obvious to keep the brook nearby, but staying on the Smarts Brook Trail proper was another story), due to numerous ski trail and logging road junctions.
