Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Brook crossing on Dicey's Mill Trail was rock hop-able and there is a big birch tree lying across the brook that makes a swell bridge for those that like using their balancing skills (looks like many do because the bark is well worn).

Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails are in good condition. A couple of blow downs but they were step-over or duck under-able.

Comments
Comments: One car in the parking area when we arrived and we were soon joined by another hiker that had arrived first for a meet-up hike--Wonalancet & Hibbard. I will accept this winter day as a reward for all those cold and snowy fall & spring hikes I've done in past years. What a fine day we had enjoying the views with the under-cast clouds snugging the mountain's bases. Trails were wet but we encountered very little ice, only in a few places and the ice was avoidable, we bare booted all day. Looking south we could see snow on Gunstock and Ragged ski slopes. High up on Passaconaway the views were a welcome surprise, Mount Chocorua, Potash, Mount Washington, snow on Waterville Valley Resort! Just above the old camp Rich site was the most ice we saw all day and it wasn't much! Met one fellow and his dog on their way up Passaconaway after visiting Whiteface. There was fog forming above the Wonalancet Brook that was spooky near the lower end of the Dicey's Mill Trail. Good winter visit to a 4k, 3k and 52 with a view
