Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Mine was the first vehicle in the Ferncroft lot @ 7:45 - something I'll likely never claim again. A grand total of six autos were there when I got back @ 12:30.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Leaves - Significant/Slippery
Recommended Equipment

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: On the Kelley Trail one near the Ferncroft lot is bridged. The trail crosses the stream three times in the upper portion: the middle one is bridged with large stones and there are no issues at the other two. However just below the junction with the Lawrence Trail to the first crossing on descent the trail is IN the stream...which is running pretty good right now. It is unavoidable to get your boots wet in this section so just embrace it and move forward.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Only noticed one blowdown each on the Wonalancet Range Trail and the Walden Trail. Neither are major.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: One local dog out for a walk with its owner tried to run off with my boot as I was changing upon return. No damage was done so it ended up being kinda funny.
Bugs
Bugs: One landed on my nose in the late morning...what the???
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing.

Comments
Comments: The leaves and the wetness made things interesting at points: higher up ascending the Wonalancet Range Trail and descending the Walden Trail especially. I did these sections with planning and caution, moving slowly. This area was in the clouds all morning so no views were had anywhere. There is NO ice on any of these trails at the moment so the spikes got a free ride.

I was a bit surprised on how few folks were out in this area today...but not surprised I didn't see any of them on my trek.
