Comments
Comments: Ice, more Ice...did I mention Ice. Put spikes on halfway up North Carter and left them on. Ice on the Carter Moriah trail was manageable even the descent from Carter Dome to the lakes was ok. Wildcat Ridge was another story all together. The climb up to Wildcat was tedious. Between Wildcat and Wildcat C the ice manageable. From C to D every surface was coated and every step took extra caution. Don't bring your rock spikes. Bring the new sharp ones hopefully Santa brought. Even with snow expected, things are going to be slick underneath. Great to hike the Carters with Rachel and Billy who are churning out the W4K list. Great to hike with Lori, Cronin and Pemi who are always an inspiration especially on an 11 hour day that felt like winter had finally arrived. Great views today. 13/48SS!!
