| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The road to the main parking lot is closed but there is a small parking lot opposite the gate. It only adds about a mile and a half round trip. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Ice - Black, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Minimal; very narrow, you can easily step across. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
No problems. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Might be tough at the summit, which consists of huge slanted granite slabs that are completely encased in ice. It's not a problem for us two-legged beings with microspikes but I wouldn't take my dog. |
