Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: At Drakes Brook crossing we followed tracks upstream to a solidly frozen section across the brook - everywhere else we passed was rushing water, slushy snow on rocks, small patches of ice. Did the bushwack out on the Sandwich Mtn trail to the road as the crossing there was impassable. Someone had headed upstream looking for a crossing spot but we decided to just do the bushwack, easy enough.

Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Open water until the Drakes Brook trail curved away from the brook and headed uphill. A couple of small water crossings still had open water here and there but no water once we started up the switchback section to the ridge. No water on Sandwich Mtn Trail til nearly down to the brook. No other issues for a dog that we could see.

Comments
Comments: Trail is mostly frozen footprints, someone did break it out in snowshoes after it snowed but lots of barebooting since. We used microspikes the whole trip. Only a couple of spots going up where there was some boilerplate ice under the snow but it wasn't an issue. Warm and sunny on the ledges at the summit, great day to be up there!
